    What are the Criteria to Become a Pilot?

    >> Its take hard work to become a better pilot who can take your future to a pinnacle. To make your career in aviation field your minimum qualification is 12th pass. And 12th exam has to be passed in science with minimum 50% marks in which physics, Math and science subjects should be there. Also that citizen should be of India and his height should also be very good. To become a pilot also keep in mind that you should be Physically and Mentally Fit.

    >> Your Vision must be perfect apart from all this it is very important that the candidate should know English language very well. Because the pilot has to go abroad many times and has to talk to the airline controller there in English.

    >> If you do not have a lot of English language then you can learn English by taking a separate English course. As soon as you pass 12th after that you have to apply for SPL i.e. Student Pilot License, PPL i.e. Private Pilot License and CPL i.e. Commercial Pilot License 

    >> You can eligible for Student Pilot License only if you are 16 year old, for Private Pilot license 17 year old and commercial pilot license you should be 18 year old.

    >> For all these Licenses you have to give an exam which is conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DFCA)

    >> Written test, Medical test and interview are conducted in these exam. Question related to Maths, Chemistry and physics are asked in the written test. Along with this there are also some reasoning questions and question related to weather science, air navigation, airplanes are asked.

    >> To Pass written exam and medical test you need to score at least 70% marks. If you are not able to clear the exam in the attempt then you can apply for those exams again.

    How to Get License to Become a Pilot?

    >> To become a Pilot some exam have to be given so that you can get a license to fly an aircraft. For this DGCA conducts the exam and provides license to the candidate.

    >> To get into the pilot field after completing the 12th exam, one has to first take admission in a DGCA approved prime school or academy. where to enroll in BSC in aviation. It has many subject like
    • Air Regulations
    • Aviation Meteorology
    • Air Navigation
    • Air Technology
    >> Paper related to them are taught, every month the candidate has to undergo training, exam and medical test. 

    >> After passing all these you are eligible for SPL exam. To get the SPL license, one has to give an entrance exam in which the oral test in taken by the chief instructor of the school or the representative of DGCA. After passing these exam the license of SPL is given.

    >> After getting the SPL license the training of the candidate starts with the field instructor in which training to fly the aircraft is given. Sometimes the plane has to be flown alone with the trainer and sometimes alone. The flight process takes 60 hours and it has to be completed not only in a day but in a few days.

    >> In these 60 hours of training at least 20 hours of solo flight is required. After this there is an exam of PPL and after passing the exam the license of PPL is given.

To get a CPL license one has to clear an exam and the candidate has to pass a medical test. Certificate of medical fitness is to be obtained from air force central medical establishment AFCME New Delhi and Institute of Aviation Medicine Bangalore. only after that you get a license to become a commercial pilot.
